Account & profile

Update your name, email, Stripe bank details, and manage your Manuka Pay account.

Updating your name and email

Your account profile (name and login email) is separate from your public business profile (shown on the payment page). Update your account details from the Profile section in the dashboard.

1

Go to Profile

Click your name or "Profile" in the dashboard navigation.

2

Update your name

Your name is your login display name, not your merchant business name. Change it and click Save.

3

Update your email

Enter a new email address. After saving, you'll receive a verification email to the new address. Your login will use the new email once verified. Until then, your old email remains active.

Your business name (shown to customers), public email, and public phone are managed under Settings, not Profile. See the Payment Settings guide for those.

Stripe account & payout bank details

Your bank account for receiving payouts is stored and managed by Stripe — Manuka Pay has no visibility into your banking details. To update your bank account or payout schedule, you access your Stripe Express dashboard directly.

1

Go to Account in your Manuka Pay dashboard.

2

Click "Update payout details". Manuka Pay opens a secure link to your Stripe Express account.

3

In the Stripe dashboard, navigate to Payout settings to update your bank account or payout frequency.

4

Changes take effect on the next scheduled payout from Stripe.

Your bank account is stored by Stripe, not Manuka Pay. Manuka Pay does not hold or transfer your money. All payouts go directly from Stripe to your bank. If your bank account is incorrect, update it in Stripe before your next payout.

Stripe verification status

Your dashboard shows three Stripe verification indicators. All three must be active before you can accept payments and receive payouts.

Details submitted You have completed and submitted your identity and business information to Stripe.
Charges enabled Stripe has approved your account to accept card payments.
Payouts enabled Stripe is able to send payouts to your connected bank account.

If any of these show as inactive, go to Account → "Update payout details" to complete or update your Stripe verification. Stripe may also contact you directly if additional documentation is required.

Deleting your account

This action is permanent and cannot be undone

Deleting your Manuka Pay account removes your login credentials and your Manuka Pay merchant profile. It does not automatically close your Stripe account or stop any pending payouts from Stripe to your bank — your Stripe account continues to exist independently.

1

Before deleting: ensure there are no open disputes or pending refunds on your account. Resolve these first.

2

Go to Profile → "Delete account".

3

Enter your current password to confirm.

4

Click "Delete account". Your Manuka Pay login and merchant profile are permanently removed.

After deleting your Manuka Pay account, your payment page URL and QR code will stop working. Any customers who scan your QR code will see an error page. Take down or replace any printed QR codes before deleting.

Frequently asked questions

Your Stripe Express account continues to exist independently. Stripe will still pay out any remaining balance to your bank account. You can access your Stripe Express account directly via stripe.com. Manuka Pay simply disconnects from it — Stripe itself does not close.

No. Manuka Pay merchant accounts are tied to the individual login and cannot be transferred. If a new owner needs to accept payments, they should create their own Manuka Pay account.

Go to Profile → "Update password". Enter your current password, then your new password twice, and click Save.

This usually means Stripe is still reviewing your account or is waiting for additional documentation. Check the email address you used when connecting Stripe — Stripe may have sent a request for more information. You can also log in to your Stripe Express account directly to see if there are any actions required.

Yes. Instead of deleting, go to Settings and toggle "Accept payments" to off. Your account stays active but your payment page shows a paused message. You can turn it back on at any time.

Try the email address you used to register. If you're still unsure, contact support with your business name and we can look up your account.
